La Online News Association (ONA) ha dado a conocer el listado de finalistas de sus premios anuales, los Online Journalism Awards, que reconocen los mejores trabajos del año en el ámbito del periodismo digital.
La larga lista de finalistas en las diferentes categorías ofrece un magnífico repaso por lo mejor del periodismo digital publicado durante el último año por medios de todo el mundo.
En total este año se han presentado 1.029 candidaturas. Un jurado de 76 profesionales escogió los semifinalistas, y un nuevo jurado integrado por 20 reconocidos profesionales del sector se ha encargado de la selección de los finalistas y determinará también los ganadores. Los premiados se conocerán el sábado 17 de septiembre durante la celebración de la ONA Conference en Denver (Estados Unidos).
Según los organizadores, la edición de este año “refleja una consideración más profunda de cómo las redacciones conectan con sus audiencias” aprovechando nuevas herramientas digitales y sacando partido a los distintos canales de distribución y nuevas plataformas de contenidos.
Doce de los premios tienen una dotación económica de 53.500 dólares, donados por la Knight Foundation, la Gannett Foundation y el College of Journalism and Communications de la University of Florida.
